Hi again and welcome to my Craft Business of the Week where I showcase a crafter who is doing great things with their online business, either on Etsy, their own website or on social media.
Today I’m looking at a Pinterest account and this one is, I hope I pronounce this correctly, Afremove Art Studios and obviously this guy is an artist and his work is absolutely stunning.
The reason I brought you to his Pinterest account is because even though he has an Etsy store and he’s also got a lot of videos on YouTube, I discovered him through Pinterest.
Using Pinterest As A Showcase
One of the reasons that I like this Pinterest account so much is that it’s a really great example of what you can do with the Pinterest account that showcases nothing but your products.
He’s got ten boards here and all of these is his products. He also has a massive number of followers. You know as far as Pinterest accounts go, it’s pretty low maintenance because he’s not pinning like crazy everyday. He’s not having to come out with a heap of other pins to get people interested. His work is so good that he can get away with doing nothing but showcasing his art.
If you have something that is visually stunning like this, you can quite easily have a similar Pinterest account where literally all you do is showcase your products.
Now with this Pinterest account, he’s doing two things that I really like.
Don’t Be Scared To Follow
The reason that I actually found this guy in the first place was because he followed me. You’ll see he’s got 41,000 people that he’s following and 62,000 followers, which means that he’s engaging with people. It means that he’s looking for people to follow and then in return, because his work is so stunning, people follow him back.
That leads to new customers, traffic generation and it’s just a really smart way to do things.
Use Your Pinterest Boards Wisely
Now I popped into one of his boards and this is the ‘Deal of the Day’ board. This is a great idea. This means that he puts anything that he’s maybe discounting or wants to showcase into this board.
As a follower, I know that I can keep my eye on here because that way I can get the best deals. This is really smart, very, very smart.
Reward Your Pinterest Followers
If we just scroll down, you’ll notice that some of these pins actually have discount cards that you can go to his Etsy store and use this discount card to get 30% off. What a great idea, not only is he showcasing his work but he’s also giving people an incentive to pop over to his Etsy store and buy.
Let’s recap this quickly. This is my craft business of the week because
ONE: I love, love, love, love his products. I’m actually going to buy some of these pictures because I think they’re beautiful.
TWO: I’ve really like the fact that he’s actually utilizing a Pinterest account that has only his products in it. It’s visually stunning and it’s a little bit unique. I haven’t seen anything quite like it.
THREE: I like that he has a Deal of the Day board with discount cards for some of his products so that you can feel like you’ve got a really good deal just by being one of his Pinterest followers.
Now let’s focus on you for a second…
